SMG Speed Shop – Refund & Return Policy
By purchasing from SMG Speed Shop, you agree to the following terms. These policies are binding, non-negotiable, and subject to change without notice.
1. Return Window & Authorization

Returns are accepted within 15 days of delivery on eligible items only

Return Authorization (RMA) is required before sending anything back

Unauthorized returns will be refused or returned at the customer’s expense

2. Return Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for a return, items must be:

Brand new, unused, and uninstalled
-
In original packaging, clean and undamaged
-
Complete with all parts, hardware, and documentation
All returns are inspected upon receipt.
Items that do not meet these conditions may be:

Rejected
-
Subject to increased restocking fees
-
Returned at the customer’s expense
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are final sale and not eligible for return:

Installed, test-fit, or modified parts
-
Fuel system components (pumps, injectors, flex fuel kits, rails, lines, regulators, controllers, etc.)

Electrical/electronic components (harnesses, sensors, modules, controllers, switches, etc.)
-
Custom, made-to-order, or special-order items
-
Body panels and freight-shipped items (hoods, bumpers, etc.)
-
Wheels and tires once mounted or installed
-
Tuning devices and programmers (HP Tuners, SCT, Bully Dog, etc.)
-
Open-box or clearance items
-
Any item marked non-returnable or final sale on the product page
No exceptions.
4. Restocking Fees & Deductions
All approved returns are subject to:

Minimum 20% restocking fee (up to 30% depending on manufacturer)
-
Deduction of all original shipping costs, including “free shipping” promotions
-
Any vendor-imposed fees passed through in full
Returns that arrive:

Damaged
-
Incomplete
-
Improperly packaged
May be:

Refused
-
Subject to additional fees
5. Return Shipping Responsibility

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs

Returns must be properly packaged and insured
-
Damage during return transit is the customer’s responsibility
6. Order Cancellations

Orders are processed quickly and may not be cancelable once in progress

If an order is:

In processing
-
Packed or labeled
-
Submitted to a vendor
-
Cancellation may not be possible
If cancellation is not possible:

The order will proceed
-
Standard return policy applies
Additional terms:

Vendor cancellation fees will be passed on

Shipping costs are non-refundable
- Special Order Orders Tagged with Special Order identifiers may have a cancellation fee imposed from the manufacturer to cancel depending on their policies. Check with our representative to see if this applies to your special order.

Sales rep orders carry a minimum 10% cancellation fee

Custom or made-to-order items cannot be canceled once production begins
If approved:

Refunds may be issued as store credit only
7. Refund Processing

Refunds are issued after return inspection and approval
-
Processing time: 7–10 business days (bank-dependent)
-
All applicable fees and deductions are applied before refund
SMG Speed Shop does not control bank processing times
8. Shipping, Loss & Damage Claims
All items are inspected prior to shipment.

Carrier default coverage is typically $100
-
Additional protection is optional at checkout via Route® Shipping Protection
If Route® is purchased:

Claims must be filed directly through Route

Customer assumes all risk beyond carrier default coverage
Claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery
9. Freight & Oversized Item Shipping Errors
Some oversized items require freight shipping.
If incorrect shipping rates are calculated due to system limitations:

We will contact you with the correct freight cost

You may:

Approve updated shipping
-
Cancel for a full refund
-
Orders with invalid shipping rates are not honored as-is
10. Pricing Errors
Pricing is maintained through automated vendor and distributor feeds.

Errors may occur
-
Incorrectly priced orders may be canceled at our discretion

We do not honor pricing errors
If canceled:

A full refund will be issued

The listing will be corrected
11. Product Availability

We do not display live inventory counts

Product listings do not guarantee availability

Items are sourced from multiple warehouses and vendors
If an item is unavailable:

The order will be canceled

A full refund will be issued
12. Fitment Responsibility

Fitment information is provided as a guide only

Customers are responsible for verifying compatibility before purchase
Incorrect orders do not qualify as an error on our part
13. Warranty & Defective Items
SMG-Branded Products:
Covered under SMG warranty terms
Third-Party Products:

Warranty claims must be handled directly with the manufacturer

SMG does not process or approve third-party warranty claims
We do not:

Test third-party products for defects

Provide labor reimbursement

Cover installation or related costs
14. Installation & Use

Professional installation is strongly recommended

Improper installation voids eligibility for return or claim
SMG is not responsible for:

Installation errors
-
Vehicle damage
-
Labor or downtime costs
15. Refused Shipments

Refused deliveries are treated as returns
-
All applicable shipping costs and restocking fees apply
16. Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.
Orders delivered to incorrect addresses due to customer error are not eligible for replacement or refund.
17. Abuse, Disputes & Refusal of Service
We reserve the right to:

Cancel orders at any time

Refuse service

Deny future transactions
This includes, but is not limited to:

Abusive or unreasonable behavior

Fraud risk or chargeback abuse
