SMG Speed Shop – Shipping Policy

By placing an order with SMG Speed Shop, you agree to the following shipping terms. These policies are binding, non-negotiable, and subject to change without notice.

1. Processing Time vs. Transit Time

Processing time is the time required to prepare, source, or build your order before shipment.
Transit time is the time the carrier takes to deliver after the order ships.

These are not the same.

2. Order Processing

  • Orders are processed in the order they are received

  • Typical processing time:

    • In-stock items: 1–3 business days

    • Vendor / drop-ship items: varies by supplier

    • Made-to-order / custom items: varies based on build time

Orders placed:

  • After business hours

  • On weekends

  • On holidays

Begin processing the next business day

3. Expedited Shipping

Selecting expedited shipping (Next Day Air, 2-Day, etc.):

  • ONLY affects carrier transit time after shipment

  • Does NOT:

    • Speed up order processing

    • Move your order ahead in queue

    • Reduce vendor or manufacturing lead times

Shipping costs are carrier rates, not profit to SMG Speed Shop.

4. Shipping Carriers & Fulfillment

Orders may ship from:

  • SMG facilities

  • Vendor warehouses

  • Third-party distribution centers

As a result:

  • Orders may ship in multiple shipments

  • Items may arrive at different times

5. Tracking Information

  • Tracking is provided once an order ships

  • Carriers may generate labels before pickup

  • Tracking may not update until the package is scanned

SMG Speed Shop does not control carrier tracking updates or delays

6. Delivery Timeframes & Delays

Delivery timelines are controlled by the carrier.

SMG Speed Shop is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Carrier issues or routing changes

  • Weather or natural events

  • High-volume shipping periods

  • Incorrect or incomplete addresses

  • Vendor delays or backorders

All delivery estimates are not guaranteed

7. Shipping Insurance & Risk of Loss

  • All orders are inspected prior to shipment

  • Carrier default liability is typically $100

Optional protection is available at checkout via Route® Shipping Protection

If Route® is purchased:

If Route® is not purchased:

  • Customer assumes all risk beyond carrier coverage

Claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery

8. Freight & Oversized Shipments

Certain items require freight (LTL / truck) shipping, including but not limited to:

  • Hoods

  • Engines

  • Body panels

  • Oversized components

Due to system limitations:

  • Shipping rates may occasionally calculate incorrectly at checkout

If this occurs:

  • We will contact you with the correct freight cost

  • You may:

    • Approve the updated shipping

    • Cancel for a full refund

Incorrect shipping rates are not honored

9. Shipping Rate Accuracy

Shipping rates are calculated automatically based on system data.

Due to vendor and data feed limitations:

  • Rates may occasionally be incorrect

  • Orders with incorrect shipping charges may be:

    • Adjusted

    • Canceled and refunded

10. Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

SMG Speed Shop is not responsible for:

  • Incorrect or incomplete addresses

  • Failed deliveries due to address errors

Reshipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

11. Refused or Undeliverable Shipments

  • Refused shipments are treated as returns

  • All shipping costs and restocking fees apply

Undeliverable packages returned to sender:

  • Will be subject to re-shipping fees or return deductions

12. California Orders (Fraud Prevention)

Due to elevated fraud risk:

  • All California shipments require:

    • Adult signature

    • ID verification at delivery

This requirement cannot be waived

Orders may also require verification if:

  • Billing and shipping addresses do not match

  • Fraud indicators are present

Failure to complete verification may result in order cancellation.

13. Product Availability & Fulfillment

  • We do not display live inventory counts

  • Products may be sourced from multiple suppliers

Listing a product does not guarantee availability

If an item is unavailable at time of processing:

  • The order will be canceled

  • A full refund will be issued

14. Backorders & ETAs

  • Some items may be backordered

  • Estimated ship dates (ETAs) are:

    • Not guaranteed

    • Subject to change without notice

SMG Speed Shop does not control manufacturer timelines.

15. Free Shipping Promotions

  • Free shipping applies only where explicitly offered

  • Applies to qualifying products and locations only

  • Uses the most cost-effective shipping method

If a return is made on a free shipping order:

  • Actual shipping costs will be deducted from the refund

16. No Guarantee of Immediate Shipment

Placing an order does not guarantee immediate shipment

Orders must first:

  • Be processed

  • Be sourced or built

  • Clear any verification requirements

17. Right to Cancel

SMG Speed Shop reserves the right to:

  • Cancel any order at any time

  • Adjust shipping charges if incorrect

  • Refuse fulfillment due to system errors, availability, or fraud risk

18. Final Terms

  • All shipping terms are binding and non-negotiable

  • All policies are subject to change without notice

  • Placing an order confirms acceptance of these terms
