ProCharger 1GC201-D1SC Stage II tuner kit for 1987–1992 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird with the original 5.7L L98 Tuned Port Injection engine.

Supercharger hardware

The base configuration pairs a D-1SC supercharger with a 3-core air-to-air intercooler and dedicated 8-rib drive. Select satin, black or polished supercharger finish and straight-cut or helical gearing above. Bracket finish is a separate choice.

Application review

Provide VIN, model year, transmission, accessory-drive arrangement, fuel system and engine modifications. Confirm the required serpentine accessory-drive arrangement for 1987 vehicles before ordering. This application excludes V6, 5.0L, LT1, LS1 and engine swaps.

Installation planning

Have your installer verify fuel delivery, calibration, belt routing and installation clearances for your build. Fuel-system upgrades, injectors and computer programming are not supplied. The catalog lists computer/ignition modifications as not required for its reference configuration; this does not include a tune or remove the need to verify the actual build. No emissions approval is claimed for modified combinations or unverified model years.

Included equipment and special-order requirements

The catalog specifies a ProFlow bypass valve, 3-inch tubing and a horizontally mounted intercooler. The 1987 model year requires GM serpentine accessory belt drive system 12497698. A manufacturer application order form and non-refundable deposit are required when placing this special order; additional processing time may apply. Confirm the deposit details with SMGspeed before manufacturer release.
