BTR Gen V LT1/L86 Cam Kit for compatible GM Gen V LT1/L86 naturally aspirated performance builds and engine swaps.
Included: Your selected BTR Gen V 220, 225 or 230 camshaft, the exact selected spring kit and one selected 4-degree VVT limiter. BTR pushrods are included only when a length is selected; No pushrods includes none. Installation tools, lubricant, lifters, gaskets and other conversion hardware are sold separately.
Spring selection matters: Choose SK013 .650-inch conical, SK007 .660-inch dual, LT4-head-specific SK008 .660-inch dual, or SK707 .685-inch dual options exactly as configured. Stock and bronze guides, locator thickness, rocker clearance and tip savers must match your heads and valvetrain. The SK008 choices are for LT4 cylinder-head spring/valve geometry, not a stock-LT1 replacement; their presence does not establish blanket LT4 cam/engine compatibility. SK707 bronze-guide setups have limited stock-rocker applicability. Confirm installed height, coil-bind clearance and retainer/guide clearance with the engine builder.
Optional pushrods: BTR one-piece chromoly, 3/8-inch diameter and .080-inch wall, set of 16 in 7.800, 7.825, 7.850 or 7.875-inch length. These are the current manufacturer selector choices; measure the assembled valvetrain before choosing a length.
Required configuration choice: One BTR-VVT-GENV-4CAM (Gen V) or BTR-VVT-GEN-VP-4CAM (Gen V Plus) limiter is included. Match the actual phaser and cam requirements; they are not interchangeable. BTR listed the Gen V Plus limiter on backorder September 23, 2026; availability can change.
Fitment: These 220/225/230 selections are not offered as blanket L83/L84 5.3L applications. BTR's legacy Stage 1 note does not refer to an available cam choice in this listing. Confirm the installed engine, head and valve geometry, rocker setup, fuel-pump drive, lifters, phaser, piston-to-valve clearance and calibration before ordering. A swap must be checked against its actual components rather than the vehicle name.
Inventory and shipping: Manual BTR listing with inventory tracking off and continue-selling enabled. Provisional carton: 26 × 12 × 8 inches, 1 lb separate tare. Contents/packing allowance is 20.5 lb for conical spring configurations or 24.5 lb for dual spring configurations, plus 3 lb when pushrods are included. These are conservative estimates, not measured manufacturer shipping specifications.
Optional BTR tools, sold separately: T002 valve-seal installation tool, BTR-T001 pneumatic valve-holding tool, and BTRHM valve-spring height micrometer. Third-party Gwatney/Cam Motion phaser tools and Driven lubricant are not included.
Native vehicle-search coverage: 2016–2024 Chevrolet Camaro SS, 2020–2024 Camaro LT1 trim, 2014–2019 Corvette with the LT1 engine, and 2014–2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500/GMC Sierra 1500 with the 6.2L L86. This excludes Camaro four-/six-cylinder and ZL1 models, Corvette Z06/ZR1 engines and 5.3L trucks as blanket applications. Match the selected spring package to the actual heads and valvetrain; factory-engine identification alone does not verify an SK008 LT4-head or modified-guide combination.
