Native engine applications and swaps

For modified L83 5.3L and L86/LT1 6.2L Gen V turbo engines. Native references: 2014–2018 Silverado/Sierra 1500 with L83 or L86; 2016–2024 Camaro SS and 2020–2024 Camaro LT1 with LT1; 2014–2019 Corvette Stingray/Z51 and 2017–2019 Grand Sport with LT1. Vehicle matches do not mean a stock direct-fit installation. Confirm engine RPO, ECU, timing gear and front-cover arrangement. V6, LS, LT4/LT5 and later L84/L87 combinations are not covered without separate BTR confirmation. Engine swaps require individual verification.

BTR requires compatible dual valve springs and recommends hardened pushrods. For automatic applications, an aftermarket converter is required for best drivability and acceleration. Verify valve clearances and calibration with your engine builder.

Shipping: BTR lists 11 lb and 24 × 3 × 3 inches for the cam. Shipping is configured at 11 lb with a provisional 24 × 4 × 4-inch tube carton and no additional carton weight. Final packed weight and outer dimensions must be confirmed when shipping.

Camshaft only or packaged hardware

This listing contains the camshaft only. Gear, bolts, conversion sensor, front cover and installation parts are sold separately. Get this cam with the BTR gear and bolts, with an optional conversion sensor.

For factory GM ECU use, BTR specifies an OEM short cam sensor and a VVT-delete front cover. The BTR-GVCAMSNSR long sensor is for an aftermarket ECU with the OEM LT front cover and requires connector trimming. Verify your ECU, front cover and engine RPO before ordering.
