BTR Gen V Stage 4 Turbo Cam, Gear and Sensor Package

Brian Tooley Racing Gen V Stage 4 Turbo three-bolt camshaft packaged with a BTR86481 four-pole timing gear and one BTR24835-3 set of three cam bolts. Choose whether to add the BTR-GVCAMSNSR conversion sensor. This is not a complete cam-installation kit.

Sensor and ECU choice

• No sensor: includes the camshaft, gear and three bolts only. Supply the correct sensor and front cover separately. For a factory GM ECU, BTR specifies an OEM short GM cam-position sensor with a VVT-delete front cover.
• With BTR conversion sensor: adds one BTR-GVCAMSNSR long sensor for an aftermarket ECU while retaining the OEM LT front cover. Connector trimming is required. Do not select this as a factory-ECU conversion.

Stage 4 specifications

BTR cam card Rev. 1: 227/24X duration at .050 inch, .638/.644-inch net lift, 114° lobe separation, 1.8 rocker ratio and +38% fuel lobe. Manufacturer camshaft SKU BTR-GENVSTG4TURBO3BLT. Follow the supplied cam card when installing; published specifications can vary by revision.

For higher-effort L83 5.3L and aggressive L86/LT1 6.2L turbo builds; BTR describes single S485–S494 or twin 66–72 mm combinations. This is a fixed three-bolt timing conversion, not a VVT limiter package.

Supporting parts and native-engine applications

BTR requires a compatible dual valve-spring kit and recommends hardened pushrods. An aftermarket converter is required for best drivability and acceleration in automatic applications. Springs, pushrods, lifters, timing chain, front cover, gaskets, DOD/AFM-delete parts, tuning, tools and labor are not included. Verify piston-to-valve clearance, fuel system and calibration with your engine builder.

Native engine references include 2014–2018 Silverado/Sierra 1500 with L83 5.3L or L86 6.2L, 2016–2024 Camaro SS and 2020–2024 Camaro LT1 with LT1 6.2L, and 2014–2019 Corvette Stingray/Z51 or 2017–2019 Grand Sport with LT1 6.2L. These are modified-engine applications, not stock direct-fit claims. Confirm engine RPO, ECU and front-cover arrangement. Excludes V6, Gen III/IV LS, LT4/LT5 and later L84/L87 applications unless separately confirmed by BTR. Swaps require individual verification.
