BTR Gen V Turbo Cam Kit for compatible GM Gen V L83/L86/LT1 turbocharged builds and swaps. Not a Gen III/IV LS cam package.
Included: One selected BTR camshaft, the exact selected BTR dual-spring kit and the timing hardware identified in the option. Optional BTR pushrods are included only when a length is selected, as a set of 16. Turbocharger, lifters, gaskets, front cover, tuning and installation tools are not included.
Single-bolt cam path: L83 Stage 1, Gen V Stage 1 and Gen V Stage 2 configurations include a BTR Gen V or Gen V Plus full VVT lockout. Match the actual phaser. A suitable phaser installation tool is required separately; third-party tools shown by the manufacturer are excluded from this BTR-only listing.
Three-bolt Stage 3/4 path: Includes BTR86481 four-pole cam gear and BTR24835-3 three-bolt set. Choose no sensor, or add the long BTR-GVCAMSNSR conversion sensor. The long BTR sensor is for an appropriate aftermarket ECU with the OEM LT front cover—not a blanket factory-ECU solution. Factory ECU installations require the appropriate OEM short sensor and VVT-delete front cover, neither included. No-sensor configurations supply no sensor or cover. Follow the current BTR cam card and conversion instructions, including connector-clearance requirements.
Spring choice: SK007 .660-inch and SK707 .685-inch packages distinguish stock/bronze guides and tip savers. SK008 .660-inch and SK704 .685-inch choices are LT4-head-specific, not stock LT1/L83/L86 replacements. Confirm head/valve geometry, rocker clearance, installed height, locator dimensions, coil-bind and retainer-to-guide clearance before selecting.
Pushrods: Optional BTR chromoly 3/8-inch-diameter, .080-inch-wall sets in 7.800, 7.825 or 7.850-inch lengths. Hardened pushrods are recommended for power-adder applications; measure the assembled valvetrain. The manufacturer permits no pushrods when sourcing them separately.
Application requirements: Choose the cam for actual displacement, turbo system, fuel-pump drive, converter and power goal. The L83 Stage 1 targets milder turbocharged L83 builds and can work with a stock converter; BTR recommends an upgraded converter for best performance. Stage 1 can retain a stock converter in suitable 6.2L builds but may need an upgrade in L83. Larger cams require build-specific converter and clearance planning; Stage 3/4 require an aftermarket converter for best automatic drivability. A vehicle match identifies a possible engine family, not stock naturally aspirated drop-in compatibility.
Inventory and shipping: Inventory tracking off and continue-selling enabled. Provisional carton 26 × 12 × 8 inches with 1 lb separate tare. Conservative contents/packing allowance: 24.5 lb for lockout packages, 26 lb for gear/bolts without sensor, or 27 lb with conversion sensor; add 3 lb when pushrods are included. These are estimates, not measured manufacturer shipping specifications.
Optional BTR tool: BTRHM spring-height micrometer, sold separately. Third-party Chevrolet pushrods and Gwatney/Cam Motion phaser tools are excluded.
Vehicle-search donor coverage: 2016–2024 Camaro SS, 2020–2024 Camaro LT1, 2014–2019 Corvette with LT1 engine, and 2014–2018 Silverado/Sierra 1500 with 5.3L L83 or 6.2L L86. These entries require a suitable turbocharged build and the selected cam’s supporting modifications. They do not establish stock naturally aspirated fitment or interchangeability of LT4-head spring packages. ECU, sensor and front-cover requirements remain configuration-specific.
