Rear axle only; 2001-2002 NB Miata with original Sport/Hard S rear brake package, 10.9-inch solid iron rotors, single-piston rear calipers and D891 pad/hardware configuration; .496-inch nominal pad thickness. Base requires the Sport/Suspension package. Mazda OE catalog distinguishes rear pad/hardware sets at chassis/VIN 206466; confirm the actual D891 backing plate, clips, shims and parking-brake hardware before ordering. Do not assume interchangeability with HB468/D1002 .492-inch pads or the later replacement hardware. Excludes standard 9.9-inch rear brakes, Mazdaspeed, NC brakes, carbon-ceramic rotors and unverified conversions.

2003 rear application requires exact pad/hardware confirmation. Current Hawk HB442 .496 pages and a later catalog list 2003 Sport applications, while the 2007 Hawk catalog specifies HB468 .492 for 2003-2005. Original 10.9-inch solid iron rear rotors and single-piston calipers alone do not resolve D891 versus D1002 pad and clip differences.
