RX-7 brake-package restriction: Requires the original single-piston sliding front caliper and matching iron disc. On 1986-1991 models, retain the specified normal-ride/standard suspension restriction. Excludes original four-piston front brakes, including the four-piston sport, Turbo, GTUs and Convertible packages. Mazda's 1989-1990 brochures distinguish the GTU standard brakes from the GXL, Turbo and Convertible four-piston brakes; conflicting catalog rows are not proof of compatibility.
