KONG Gen 3 Billet Supercharger Lid (LSA/LS9)
KONG Gen 3 Dual-Brick Billet Supercharger Lid
Upgrade airflow, intercooler capacity, and underhood presentation with the KONG Gen 3 billet lid for OEM LSA 1900, KONG LSA TVS2650, OEM LS9 TVS2300, and KONG LS9 TVS2650 superchargers. The lid is designed as a direct-fit assembly for compatible LSA- and LS9-style applications while retaining the factory sensor locations.
Dual-brick intercooler design
The Gen 3 lid places two single-pass intercooler bricks side by side in an LS9-inspired layout. Kong states that each brick is approximately 83 percent larger than an OEM LS9 intercooler brick. The custom cores use an integrated O-ring sealing strategy intended to reduce hot-air bypass around the intercoolers.
Eliminating conventional float-tube packaging allowed Kong to extend the usable core length. The goal is lower charge-air temperature, reduced pressure drop, and greater air density at the cylinders in high-output combinations.

C6 ZR1 clearance note
Hood and hood-window clearance can vary on the C6 ZR1. Kong advises that the front corner of the lid may contact the hood in some vehicles and recommends Lingenfelter 0.250-inch subframe spacers, part number L510050197, when needed to ensure adequate clearance. Always verify clearance before operating the vehicle.
Professional installation, cooling-system planning, leak testing, and calibration review are recommended. Contact SMG for help matching fittings, hose, pumps, heat exchangers, pulleys, throttle bodies, and the rest of the supercharger package.
SMG ordering and fitment notes
This Kong Performance catalog item is supplied for the applications described above. Verify the exact vehicle, engine, supercharger, bolt pattern, finish, pulley ratio, and supporting hardware before ordering. Contact SMG before purchase when the combination is unusual or when the product requires machining, calibration, or another Kong component.
Processing and shipping
Processing occurs before shipping. Kong products may be special-order or vendor-fulfilled and can require additional handling time before carrier pickup. Expedited shipping changes transit time after shipment and does not shorten manufacturing, machining, or order processing. Any product-specific lead time or availability note above takes priority.
Installation responsibility
Performance components should be installed and calibrated by a qualified professional. The purchaser is responsible for verifying compatibility, safe operating limits, emissions legality, and suitability for the intended vehicle and use.
Processing & Shipping Overview
Processing occurs before shipping.
Most in-stock items typically process within 2–3 business days before shipment or pickup. Expedited shipping options affect transit time after an order ships and do not speed up processing.
Made-to-order, special-order, vendor drop-ship, and freight items require additional processing time before shipping. Any extended lead times will be noted on the product page when applicable.
For the most up-to-date order status or lead time questions, please contact sales@smgspeed.com or use live chat during business hours.
