ProCharger Chevy Big-Block D-1 Classic Serpentine Kit
Configure a Chevrolet big-block classic serpentine supercharger kit with D-1 head-unit options. This family uses an additional 12-rib supercharger drive with V-belt engine accessories in the base configuration.
Kit configuration
The D-1 configuration is non-intercooled and includes a standard carburetor hat. A bypass valve is sold separately; the manufacturer recommends one above 8 psi or when adding an intercooler.
Engine-oil lubrication
The D-1 is engine-oil-fed, not self-contained. Have the installer confirm oil supply and gravity-return routing for the engine and follow the correct manufacturer installation instructions.
Build and accessory requirements
Provide engine displacement, heads, induction, vehicle clearance, accessory layout and power goal. A compatible 4150-style blow-through carburetor or EFI throttle body and fuel-system upgrades are separate. Power steering uses a customer-supplied GM Type II pump with remote reservoir and compatible mounting hardware.
The V-belt accessory arrangement requires a standard-rotation long water pump. The optional serpentine accessory conversion requires a separate reverse-rotation big-block water pump such as Edelbrock 8854. The A/C conversion requires a separate Sanden 508/SD5H14 compressor. Confirm EFI clearance and Delco-style alternator mounting with 6.61-inch bolt spacing.
Ordering
Supercharger finish, supercharger-bracket finish and accessory-drive finish are separate choices. Boost and power output must be specified for the build. This is an engine-specific package, not a vehicle-specific bolt-on system. Confirm all selected upgrades together before order release.

The illustrated supercharger is not a model-specific representation of this D-1 kit. Do not use these reference dimensions as clearance specifications for your selected head, brackets or accessories; confirm your complete configuration before ordering. The engine, accessories and optional conversion hardware are not included in the base V-belt configuration.
Processing & Shipping Overview
Processing occurs before shipping.
Most in-stock items typically process within 2–3 business days before shipment or pickup. Expedited shipping options affect transit time after an order ships and do not speed up processing.
Made-to-order, special-order, vendor drop-ship, and freight items require additional processing time before shipping. Any extended lead times will be noted on the product page when applicable.
For the most up-to-date order status or lead time questions, please contact sales@smgspeed.com or use live chat during business hours.
