TSP 1999-2013 GM Truck/SUV 4.8L/5.3L Low-Lift Camshaft Package
An economical Texas Speed low-lift camshaft package for cathedral-port GM truck and SUV 4.8L and 5.3L LS engines. These profiles use .550-inch lift valve springs and can normally retain the factory pushrods, retainers, locks, seats and seals when condition and measured geometry allow.
Choose Your Camshaft
- Stage 1 Low Lift: Mildest profile with excellent drivability and strong low- and midrange gains.
- Stage 2 Low Lift: Moderate street profile with increased power and a more noticeable idle.
- Stage 3 Low Lift: More aggressive street profile with stronger upper-rpm power.
- Stage 4 Low Lift: Aggressive profile with pronounced idle character and increased peak power.
- Chopacabra: Factory-converter-friendly truck cam with the signature chopped idle and broad midrange.
- MaddMaxx: Maximum-effort low-lift profile for properly supported combinations.
Package Includes
- Your selected TSP low-lift cathedral-port camshaft
- PAC .550-inch lift performance valve spring set
Pushrod note: Factory pushrods can normally be reused, but final length must be measured during assembly. Changing lifter style, machining heads or using a different base-circle cam can change the required length.
DOD/AFM note: Factory-DOD Gen IV 5.3L engines require the TSP Gen IV 5.3L Complete DOD/AFM Delete Kit. The 4.8L and non-DOD 5.3L engines do not require that conversion.
VVT note: VVT-equipped applications require the compatible TSP Gen 4 LS VVT Delete Kit when using a fixed 3-bolt camshaft.
Tuning required: Professional calibration is mandatory after installation. No tune, tuning device, credits or remote tuning support is included.
Fitment: Applicable 1999-2013 Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Yukon XL and related GM truck/SUV applications using cathedral-port 4.8L or 5.3L LS engines. Verify the engine RPO, cylinder-head port shape, DOD and VVT equipment before ordering.
Local installation: North Texas High Performance can provide separately quoted installation and tuning for local customers.
Processing & Shipping Overview
Processing occurs before shipping.
Most in-stock items typically process within 2–3 business days before shipment or pickup. Expedited shipping options affect transit time after an order ships and do not speed up processing.
Made-to-order, special-order, vendor drop-ship, and freight items require additional processing time before shipping. Any extended lead times will be noted on the product page when applicable.
For the most up-to-date order status or lead time questions, please contact sales@smgspeed.com or use live chat during business hours.
