Build a Brian Tooley Racing (BTR) Gen V truck cam-and-spring package. Choose a camshaft and a BTR spring package for the actual engine and cylinder heads.
What is included
One selected camshaft plus either the BTR91120-16 .550-inch beehive spring set, SK013 .650-inch conical spring kit, or SK007/0560/BB .660-inch dual spring kit. The beehive option is a spring set, not a complete spring/retainer/seal kit. The L83 Stage 4 cam is offered only with SK013 or SK007, as required by BTR.
Supporting options
The beehive spring package is available with or without BTR hat-style valve seals; choose the seal-inclusive version when new seals are needed. SK013 and SK007 do not require that separate hat-seal add-on. Optional BTR chromoly pushrods are sets of 16, 3/8-inch diameter with .080-inch wall, in 7.800, 7.825 or 7.850-inch length. Measure the required length for your build rather than selecting by vehicle alone.
The combined pushrod/VVT selector offers no limiter, the early Gen V 4-degree limiter (BTR-VVT-GENV-4CAM), or the Gen V Plus 4-degree limiter (BTR-VVT-GEN-VP-4CAM). Only the selected pushrods and limiter are included. A no-limiter choice does not mean the cam can safely use unrestricted factory phaser travel; provide a compatible limiter separately when required.
This is not a complete DOD/AFM/DFM conversion or installation kit. Non-AFM lifters, trays, gaskets, bolts, tools and lubricant are not included. Confirm required supporting parts before ordering.
Choose for your engine
Truck Norris and the Gen V truck performance grinds target L83/L84 5.3L builds. The separately labeled 2240006175 L86/LT1 DOD-conversion cam is a 6.2L application option shown in BTR’s configurator; do not select it as a blanket 5.3L replacement. Engine swaps must be matched by the installed engine, cylinder heads, fueling and valvetrain—not chassis alone.
Confirm spring installed height and clearance, required pushrod length, DOD/AFM/DFM conversion parts, piston-to-valve clearance and calibration for the chosen cam. Match any separately purchased VVT limiter to the actual early or late phaser. BTR recommends an upgraded converter for L83 Stage 4; other combinations still require individual drivetrain review.

Shipping
Estimated combined carton: 26 × 12 × 8 inches with a separate 1 lb carton tare. Provisional contents weights start at 20 lb with SK013 springs or 24 lb with BTR91120-16/SK007 springs. Add 3 lb when pushrods are selected, 0.5 lb for added hat seals and 0.5 lb for a selected limiter. These estimates use a provisional 15 lb cam allowance, BTR catalog spring weights (3.3 for SK013; 8 for BTR91120-16 and the SK007 family), rounded packing allowances and conservative add-on allowances. Catalog weight units are provisionally treated as pounds. These are not manufacturer-confirmed packed dimensions or individually measured configurations; verify the actual shipment before purchasing a label.
Native vehicle references
2014–2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 entries refer to 5.3L trucks with the applicable L83/L84 Gen V engine only. Confirm the engine RPO and installed phaser; these references do not cover L82/L8B, V6, diesel or other engine families by default. A vehicle-search match does not make every cam option suitable: the separately labeled 6.2L L86/LT1 DOD-conversion option requires its own engine-specific assessment.
Limiter availability: BTR lists the Gen V Plus 4-degree limiter on backorder as checked September 23, 2026. Confirm all selected components before scheduling installation.
Spring-kit details
BTR91120-16 uses the factory retainers and locks. SK013 includes springs, locators, seals and locks and reuses factory retainers; BTR highly recommends pushrod replacement. SK007/0560/BB includes titanium retainers and .060-inch stock-guide locators. These spring choices are not LT4/LT5 spring kits. BTR does not recommend its single-wire conical or beehive springs with roller or higher-ratio rockers without application-specific review.
