Published specifications: 21X/22X duration, .540/.540-inch lift, 111 LSA, 14% fuel lobe and 1.8:1 rocker ratio. BTR lists a 2,000–6,700 RPM operating range and stock-converter compatibility.

Required supporting parts

BTR specifies BTR91120-16 springs, X12499225-16 lifters and a 4-degree VVT limiter. Match BTR-VVT-GENV-4CAM to the earlier Gen V phaser or BTR-VVT-GEN-VP-4CAM to Gen V Plus. Verify the installed phaser, current cam card, valve clearances and calibration before ordering. Supporting parts are not included.

Engine applications and swaps

Intended engine families: L83/L84 5.3L Gen V. Do not select by Truck Norris name alone: the LS, V6 and HEMI versions are different products. A vehicle match is an engine-family reference for a modified build, not a stock replacement guarantee. Other engine families and swaps require individual build verification.
